Our spacious room had a kitchen and a shared bathroom, making it really convenient. The location in such a beautiful area was fantastic - we were surrounded by scenic views 🌳. Plus, there was a bakery and some stores nearby, which was super handy.

The breakfast options at the local bakery were really good. The room was quite spacious and it had a kitchen and a shared bathroom, which was exactly what we needed. It was nice to have everything there in one place. 🍳

Amazing location, breathtaking views of the ocean and excellent staff. Had large and inviting room for a nice stay for the fabulous visit. Great breakfast and great food. Location just next door to the nearby village, and a Bakery and Coffee Shop back in Honomo Village. Also, by lovely forest...

Great location by the shore, perfect for exploring the area. 🏖️ Also, super close to a beautiful river right outside, surrounded by nature.

My room was reasonably large and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. The location was amazing and great, close to the mountain. A private platform is enclosed in mosquito netting. Mr. Ed's bakery is easily accessible. Honomu Goat Dairy was a maximum of a 25-minute walk away. This guesthouse offers spacious rooms with stunning ocean views and a convenient location near the mountains. Guests can enjoy a private platform with mosquito netting, easy access to Mr. Ed's bakery, and a visit to Honomu Goat Dairy within a short walk.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in had stunning views of the sunrise over the ocean. The location is close to the Akaka waterfall, beautiful gardens, and a forest, providing an amazing setting.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking ocean view that exceeded my expectations. The house was also very beautiful and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed.

Parking was difficult as the grassy area was not well lit, and the stairs leading to the room were dangerous to navigate with luggage. The shared bathroom was also inconvenient, especially since it was located downstairs.

During our recent stay, we were greeted warmly by a friendly man who showed us around. The bathroom was a standout feature, with a high wall that opened up to a stunning jungle view. We stayed in cabana 1, which provided a unique camping experience. Although sleeping in hammocks took some adjustment, we were glad we included this in our trip. The bug spray and earplugs we brought made our stay more comfortable. The location was great, offering beautiful views and a serene atmosphere. The house itself was clean and had a charming rustic feel. we had a wonderful "camping" experience and would recommend it to others.

The guesthouse is little and exceptionally clean, with stunningly beautiful ocean views. The prices are excellent, and the food was great. The staff was really friendly and super helpful. The beds are very comfy, and the room is equipped with a fridge and coffee/tea making machines. There is also a dining area. The location is amazing, situated in a quiet rural area and only about 5 minutes' walk to Pepeekeo center.

Staying at Hamakua Guesthouse was awesome! We loved the breakfast vouchers for the nearby bakery, it added a nice touch to our mornings. The location was beautiful, surrounded by nature and with an amazing morning view. The guesthouse also provided all the necessary beach equipment for a fun day at the beach, which was a pleasant surprise. The drive through the rainforest to get there was enchanting. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the wet side of Big Island.

We really appreciated the quiet hours between 9pm-8am, although the slatted doors and shared walls did make us worry about keeping quiet when coming back late or staying up later than 9pm. But overall, it was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise fantastic stay.

I stayed at the Hamakua Guesthouse for a few days while exploring the Big Island. The location in the jungle was unique and secluded, but still within driving distance of many attractions. The staff was friendly and the property was well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and the communal areas were clean. I loved the eco-friendly initiatives and the breakfast vouchers for Mr. Ed's Bakery were a nice touch. The personal waterfall on-site was amazing and added to the natural beauty of the surroundings. a perfect place for those who want to be off the beaten path and enjoy the sounds of nature.

    Would recommend this hotel.

The staff was really friendly and helpful, they sorted out the issues I had. The location of the hotel is fantastic, set in a quiet rural area. It's conveniently close to local eateries in the nearby village, which made it easy to grab a bite to eat. Plus, the presence of a Bakery and Coffee Shop nearby was a great added bonus.
